I love the mirror!
I think it could be easily wired for electricity if you so desire. It also could be tricked out over a bed. Swag some fabric on it, and make the look of a coronet with a canopy. But don't use the candle with fabric - EVER! In fact if I were to do the canopy idea, I would turn the sconce upside down, and use the underside of the candle holder to catch the fabric...
