Optimism And White Paint- A New Blog

Mitchell did the faux bois finish on his desk
He sent me this photo in response to my request HERE
And HERE

When I first started my blog so many posts ago, just a scant three months ago, I was inspired to do so by another blog. I was googling around looking for something, and I stumbled upon Decorno, (because decor truly is my porn...) and I was enchanted. Something clicked, and I thought, well this looks like a good way to waste time, and I started my blog.
You are so tender when you first start. You wonder if anyone at all is reading. You want readers. You see those long blog rolls on the big girl blogs, and you check out those other blogs, and you are humbled by the amount of talent and dedication.
Decor blogs have better content than any magazine. If only you could touch a blog the way you can hold a magazine. And bloggers keep on giving good stuff all the time. With a magazine you read it once, twice, maybe a third time and you're done. Blogs are daily and endless...
So welcome Mitchell aka Design Junkie at RMS, and now a bloginista/o HERE
It's called: Optimism And White Paint based on the Elsie de Wolfe quote, "I believe in plenty of optimism and white paint."
He lives in New Orleans (I hope we can meet!), and is a decorative painter by trade.

Thank you so much for the shout out, VV. But I'm not a Melissa, I'm a Mitchell. Gays love their decor just as much as the girls. Does that make me a bloganisto?

OMG I must be getting balmy! I think I confused you with sneaky chic ....ah too many e-mails (with too many screen names to sort out) to answer in too little time. I apologize for the error and have corrected the copy. And gays invented decor darling! And Mitchell, I do hope we can meet - I promise not to call you Melissa. Want to watch the first RMS show together? Valorie

Sounds good. Is your rms get together still on? I'm hoping that the rms show is better than the last couple of new hgtv shows. I'm especially disappointed with Myles of Style, and I didn't like Angelo's 24 hour design. The whole idea that good design could happen that fast bothers me. And you can call me what ever you like, vv, as long as you don't call me late for cocktails.
